Backyard Beach

  • June 18 18

When I was a kid, I could float in a pool all day long. I was sure that I would be a mermaid when I grew up. Even as an adult, swimming in the pool is, by far, the best summertime activity. When last week’s forecast called for record high temperatures, you can guess where I ended up.

Longing to beat the heat is nothing new, nor is it unique. Many of my friends commented on how convenient a pool at home would be. The interest is spreading. Many customers have come in to purchase masonry sand for pool installations. As the new kid on the block, I’m absorbing every bit of information that I can. It surprised me to learn that it is sand that is placed below the lining to create smooth pool floors.

Here at JBM, we supply sand by the weight, and we price it by the ton. We even deliver it straight to your project site, or you can pick it up here at the corner of 15th and Illinois. If you are installing a pool this summer, stop in for some sand. We are here to help.

Want to avoid the maintenance that comes with a pool? A little bit of sand and a garden hose make a cozy backyard beach!
